After brilliant beginning of the rally and victory on the Qualifying Stage, Kajetanowicz and Baran were forced to retire from the final round of FIA European Rally Championship because of drivetrain failure on the first stage of Tour de Corse. Kajetan and Jarek finished the test and tried to fix the car in order to continue and make it through next stages. Unfortunately the damage was too severe and it was not possible to repair the car on the road section.
Kajetan Kajetanowicz I make no secret that in this kind of situation it is difficult to say anything. After painstaking and careful preparations before this rally we knew that we were ready to fight hard and show good pace. Rallying is a great but sometimes also cruel sport. However, it does not weaken my love for them. Together with Jarek we put a lot of heart in our driving and our boys in the service area do the same with their job and car. After stage finish we tried to fix the car and continue the competition at all costs. In this case even our determination was not enough. Although our chance for FIA ERC podium are slim, I am happy that we showed good pace in rallies in which we competed.
