Kajetanowicz has confirmed his start in ORLEN 80th Rally Poland, round seven of the 2024 World Rally Championship. It will be third rally in this year’s campaign for the world champion – with support of local fans in his native Poland. Triple winner of the Polish classic has prepared a dedicated zone for them, with merchandise and other surprises from the ORLEN Rally Team.
Kajetanowicz claimed three wins in Rally Poland, paving his way towards success in European and world championships. Last year the WRC2 Challenger champion drove the gravel stages among Masurian lakes in a course car, preparing himself for Rally Italia Sardegna. This time Kajetanowicz and Szczepaniak head to Poland after the Italian championship counter, where they claimed fourth position in the WRC2 Challenger standings, missing a podium spot by less than four seconds and defeating over 30 crews. The ORLEN Rally Team duo have contested just two events this season – another one, a long-awaited Polish round – is just around the corner.
This year’s anniversary ORLEN 80th Rally Poland is the biggest and most prestigious event in the country. It is a great fiesta for rally fans who have been waiting for some time to watch the world champion and multiple European champion live in action. Even before last weekend’s Rally Italia Sardegna, Kajetanowicz tested his Škoda Fabia Rally2 on gravel roads of Warmia and Masuria, in order to prepare in the best possible way to his home WRC round. The most successful Polish rally driver is keen to express his positive attitude ahead of this classic event – especially as he expects fantastic atmosphere and plenty of white and red national flags along the special stages. Kajetanowicz calls for safe behaviour of the spectators and invites them to the ORLEN Rally Team zone in the service park, with plenty of excitement for the motorsport fans.
– I will take part in ORLEN 80th Rally Poland with great pleasure, proudly flying white and red colours. It will be a fantastic fiesta for the fans but also for us – the drivers. Although we will fight on the stages, our goal is common: to provide all spectators, watching the rally on the stages and in front of TV screens, with plenty of joy. Poland will host the fastest crews of the world this year, becoming for four days a scene of top-level competition. I am convinced that plenty of white and red flags will appear along the roads and our fans will show the world how they enjoy this sport. I hope that together we will create a unique spectacle. I can’t wait! The whole ORLEN Rally Team have been working hard, we are ready to fight and I am looking forward to meeting you there. Watch the rally responsibly and visit us in the service park, we have plenty of surprises for you!
– Kajetan Kajetanowicz, the WRC2 Challenger champion, says ahead of the rally.
