Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Maciej Szczepaniak have completed their final testing session ahead of Croatia Rally. Round four of the 2026 World Rally Championship season starts at the end of this week.
Rally Croatia, despite its rich history, is one of the newest rounds of the World Rally Championship. This event has been present in the WRC schedule since 2021, except for last year, when it formed a part of the European Rally Championship calendar.
Kajetanowicz and Szczepaniak will be competing in the Croatian World Rally Championship counter for the third time, kicking off their 2026 campaign at the same time. The ORLEN Rally Team crew arrived at the rally venue on the first day of Easter and held their final testing session on Easter Monday. A technically challenging and fast stage near the border between Croatia and Slovenia was used to work on the best possible set-up of their Toyota GR Yaris Rally2.
It is time for Croatia Rally. We are already here, having completed quite a lot of kilometres during usual Monday test. The feeling is good, I get to know more and more about tarmac spec of our Toyota. I am happy to be back here. This year’s edition of this event has a lot of new stages and for us there are even more new things, as Maciek and I haven’t had a chance to compete here for several years. I am looking forward to the competition. The car is great, the team is fantastic, so all I can do is keep the pedal to the metal. Of course it will not be easy after a year and a half break from competing on asphalt. For sure it would be nice to have bigger testing mileage but it is still okay. I enjoy driving a lot
– said Kajetan Kajetanowicz, the ORLEN Rally Team driver.
The crews will spend the next two days on recce. The official shakedown and starting ceremony of Croatia Rally are scheduled for Thursday. Proper competition begins on Friday morning, when the competitors will start the first of twenty special stages.
Starts of Kajetan Kajetanowicz are supported by title partner of the ORLEN Rally Team – ORLEN S.A., as well as by technical partner Delphi and ORLEN OIL.
