Rally Chile begins on Thursday night – European time – with the official starting ceremony. Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Maciej Szczepaniak aim for more WRC2 Challenger points in the South American round of the 2024 World Rally Championship. The Polish duo checked their car on today’s shakedown and they are ready for competition.
It is the final gravel encounter of this year’s World Rally Championship schedule. Rally Chile welcomes the competitors with sixteen special stages and almost 307 competitive kilometres. Technical and twisty roads pass through forest and their surface presents a huge challenge to the tyres.
– We are in Chile and South America is full of passionate rally fans. We also have our supporters here, they follow our starts – also in Europe – and always keep their fingers crossed for us. We came here also for them, to compete on these fantastic special stages. Each day of Rally Chile is different, especially Saturday has its unique character – with heavy demands placed on tyres. Weather can play its part, it is changing all the time and we have different forecasts – but our attitude is always positive. The stages are beautiful yet demanding – but this is the World Rally Championship
– says Kajetan Kajetanowicz, the reigning WRC2 Challenger champion.
