Kajetan Kajetanowicz has joined the roster of the ambassadors for the FIA Smart Driving Challenge – an initiative created by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile to promote safe and efficient driving.
Road safety is a topic particularly close to Kajetanowicz’s heart. The rally champion frequently shares his experience and gets involved in promotion of responsible driving, at the same time condemning extremely irresponsible behaviour on road.
His actions were noticed by the FIA. The most important governing body in world motorsport decided to exploit the Pole’s knowledge, position and status by inviting him to participate in the FIA Smart Driving Challenge initiative. This campaign focuses not only on safety but also on efficient driving and is aimed at all drivers. Using a special app, which also takes advantage of artificial intelligence, the drivers can check if they drive in efficient and smooth manner, while also having the opportunity to test themselves against others. Every drive submitted via the app is analysed, also for its environmental impact, and awarded points. The best drivers have a chance to advance to the grand finale and to be recognised at the prestigious FIA Gala.
I am pleased and proud to accept the invitation from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile to become the ambassador for the FIA Smart Driving Challenge. I am happy that the topic of road safety, undoubtedly very important to me, is also a significant part of the FIA activities. The FIA Smart Driving Challenge is a competition between drivers from around the world but the winner isn’t the fastest driver – but the most efficient one, who knows how to reduce our environmental impact. The app created for this initiative allows you to check how our habits and behaviours influence road safety and efficiency. So let’s all be smart on the road and take up this challenge
– encourages Kajetan Kajetanowicz, the ORLEN Rally Team driver.
The FIA Smart Driving Challenge is not the only road safety campaign in which Kajetanowicz is involved. The WRC2 Challenger champion, triple European Rally Champion, and four-time Polish Rally Champion co-founded the Great Journey of the Toddlers for Children. Kajto also remains an ambassador for the “I drive, so I am sober” campaign, which combats the persistent problem of drunk driving. He also supports the Young&Safe project, which teaches children proper road safety. The efforts of people involved in this campaign contributed to changes in regulations and the forthcoming introduction of mandatory helmets for under-16 bicycle and scooter riders.
Starts of Kajetan Kajetanowicz are supported by title partner of the ORLEN Rally Team – ORLEN S.A., as well as by technical partner Delphi, ORLEN OIL and Hankook.
