Legendary stages, iconic cars, and crowds of spectators are the hallmarks of the Poland Rally Legends. Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Maciej Szczepaniak will compete in the third edition of this extremely popular event. The ORLEN Rally Team have prepared a surprise for fans and will present a Citroën C3 WRC on the special stages of the Kłodzko Valley.
The idea of the Poland Rally Legends was born thanks to group of passionate people from the Auto Moto Klub Kłodzko. The first edition of this event took place in 2024. Twelve months later, its popularity rocketed sky-high, with motorsport enthusiasts of all ages and experience gathering along the stages. The unique nature of the event allows for a combination of sporting competition and show, taking the competitors back in time to the world of rallies from the past. Fans can spend time with the competitors and see cars from various eras, while the rally route takes the crews along legendary special stages, known both from the Polish championship and international competitions held in the Kłodzko region.
Kajetanowicz and Szczepaniak joined the field of over one hundred crews competing in the 3rd Poland Rally Legends. This will be the third start of the season for the ORLEN Rally Team duo. Kajetan and Maciek took part in Croatian Rally, a round of the 2026 World Rally Championship, and Rally Poland, a round of the national and European championships. Now they have another opportunity to meet the home fans and Kajetan has decided to surprise them by choosing to compete aboard a WRC car. The car in question is a Citroën C3 WRC, built by the French manufacturer for competition in top category of the World Rally Championship. The factory team entered the car in the 2017-2019 campaigns and this model was used by, among others, Sébastien Loeb and Sébastien Ogier, two nine-time world champions. The C3 WRC competed in the final technical era of the WRC cars, which were later replaced by the Rally1 and were unanimously regarded as the fastest in history and at the same time incredibly spectacular. In recent rally history, WRC cars have been the biggest magnet for the fans, attracting them from every corner of the world.
There are rallies where the result is the most important thing. There are also events where emotions, memories, and the opportunity to experience something special with the fans count the most. The Poland Rally Legends is one of those rallies and I want to congratulate the organisers on its success. It is a great idea, a fantastic time machine in the rally world, which also meets the need and desire of the fans, providing both them and the competitors with plenty of fun. And it is precisely because of this fun that I decided to take part in this rally. Together with Maciek, we want to make sure that everyone could enjoy this great experience and I hope my car of choice – the Citroën C3 WRC – will help me achieve this. This machine has enormous potential and I will do my best to use at least a part of it. I am happy that we will once again be able to show fans a WRC car because exactly these cars have fired the imagination and generated great excitement over the years. For Kajetanowicz, the event on the special stages of the Kłodzko Valley is also a pleasant comeback to his successes on the national stage. The four-time Polish champion has competed five times in the Lower Silesian Rally, held in the same region. He won it – together with Jarosław Baran – twice: in 2009 and 2012.
The 3rd Poland Rally Legends takes place on 28-29 of August. Its schedule consists of twelve special stages, almost 70 kilometers long in total. The event is based in Polanica-Zdrój.
